For Father’s Day, Ange and the kids brought me some tomato plants which I tended lovingly all summer. Due to crap weather I have been left with a stack of green tomatoes. So in true Hugh Fartly Whippingstool tradition I have decided to make a value added product, rather than let them go to waste. The end result will be Big Stu’s Green Tomato Chutney. If I remember my history correctly a maker of chutney was called a Chutney Ferret (in Olde English). Therefore I can proudly come out of the pantry as a proud and fully fledged Chutney Ferret.
